Job summary

QUESS ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Engineer with strong ReactJS and modern web tech expertise to design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications in Singapore.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure software throughout the SDLC. Responsibilities include translating requirements into scalable designs, building responsive apps, writing clean code, and supporting testing, deployment, and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 6+ years in designing and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
• Strong Java/J2EE, Spring, RESTful APIs, and microservices experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements into scalable designs and solutions.
• Develop and maintain enterprise web applications using ReactJS and modern front-end technologies.
• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical assessments for new features.
• Develop and execute unit tests and support integration testing, UAT, deployment, and production support.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure applications comply with security standards and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with analysts, leads, UI/UX designers, QA, and stakeholders throughout SDLC.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

Software Engineer with strong expertise in ReactJS and modern web technologies to design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Analyse business and functional requirements and translate them into scalable application designs and technical solutions.
• Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain responsive web applications using ReactJS and modern front-end technologies.
• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices and coding standards.
• Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical assessments for new features and application enhancements.
• Develop and execute unit tests and support integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and production support activities.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure applications comply with organizational security standards and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Technical Leads, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and project stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application quality and performance.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment guides, and operational procedures.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintain enterprise-level applications based on business and technical requirements.
• Strong expertise in Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE).
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with application servers such as WebLogic, JBoss, WebSphere, or Apache Tomcat.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and secure coding practices.

• Experience in unit testing, debugging, application performance tuning, and production support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
