Job summary

IKAS INTERNATIONAL (ASIA) PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior frontend/backend developer to build and optimize real-time web applications for trading platforms. You will lead design discussions, collaborate with global teams, and mentor peers while delivering scalable, low-latency solutions.

The role requires 7+ years of experience in modern web technologies, strong JS/TS/React skills, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. Singapore-based, full-time position with impact across markets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux and RxJS.
• Experience in real-time, latency-sensitive single-page applications.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles and patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
• Full-stack development with Java backend is a plus.
• Experience in financial markets or electronic trading is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Drive technical design and deliver solutions for business-critical trading platforms.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and production support.
• Build scalable, high-performance applications and optimise latency-sensitive systems.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Lead development tasks, review code and mentor other developers.

SKILLS NEEDED

• Minimum 7 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, RxJS, HTML and CSS.
• Hands-on experience developing complex, real-time, event-driven single-page applications.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles, architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience optimising performance in latency-sensitive applications.
• Full-stack development experience; Java backend experience is advantageous.
• Financial markets, derivatives or electronic trading experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
