Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst in Singapore. The role focuses on developing full stack UI within Citi Equities Technology, requiring 3–5 years of React/Redux experience and strong collaboration with Technology teams.

You will develop web apps with React and TypeScript, manage state with Redux, write unit tests, and contribute to architecture while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on experience with React, Redux, TS and modern web tech.
• Proficient with HTML5/CSS3 and JavaScript fundamentals.
• Experience with unit tests using Jest and React testing library is expected.
• Knowledge of state management using Redux or Recoil and React Context.
• Familiarity with WebSockets, RxJS or real‑time web apps is a plus.
• Build tools such as Webpack, Vite; container concepts like Docker are a bonus.

Job description

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

This role is for a Full Stack UI developer in Citi Equities Technology.

The candidate should possess strong analytical and technical ability with at least 3 years of experience in React, Redux, websockets and cutting-edge web technologies. Candidate should be able to work independently as well as being a team player.

The position is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web apps using React and TypeScript, ensuring high quality, clean and maintainable code.
• Manage application state using redux and middleware such as redux toolkit.
• Ensure high test coverage by writing unit tests using Vitest.
• Write and maintain a suite of reusable UI components which can be used across different feature apps.
• Contribute to the overall application architecture and provide inputs on front end frameworks, design patterns and best practices.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to overall quality, maintainability and testability of software developed.
• Be a self-starter and plan/schedule own work for tasks and projects, implement functionality without direct supervision.
• Work closely with teams to form good working culture and continuously adapt to different working environment.

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of hands on HTML5, CSS3/SASS/CSS in JS, Core JavaScript, Typescript
• Hands on React, React hooks
• Unit Testing with Jest, React-testing-library
• Application State Management with Redux, Recoil, React Context
• Reactive Apps with RxJS, Web Sockets, Web workers
• Build Tools like Webpack/Vite etc
• Debugging skills, Code performance, Bench Marking
• Container based development like Electron
• RESTful APIs, JWT, NodeJS, Express JS

Nice to have

• Exposure to Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Confluence
• MongoDB, AMPS Server - should able to query
• Workspace tools – npm workspace, Micro Frontend, ESLint/TSLint
• Docker management, Openshift containers
• Experience working with other UI frameworks such as Angular
• Experience working with any other backend programming languages and framework such as Java and Springboot
