Job summary

INTVER GLOBAL CONSULTING is seeking an engineer with hands-on PLC and HMI programming experience to work on control systems for automation applications at customer sites in Singapore.

You will develop software, analyse requirements, create electrical schematics, program PLCs/HMIs, test and debug, and coordinate with internal teams to meet schedules. Some travel and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least two years in automation or semiconductors.
• Strong PLC and HMI programming skills; Omron, Mitsubishi, and Pro-face preferred.
• Ability to read, design, and troubleshoot electrical schematics.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; good English.
• Willing to travel on short notice and provide after-hours support when required.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and prepare functional and detailed design specifications.
• Create and update electrical schematics, select components, and prepare bills of materials.
• Program PLCs and HMIs, implement systems, and carry out testing and debugging.
• Perform basic electrical wiring and troubleshoot software and electrical issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and coordinate with internal teams to meet customer requirements, budgets, and project schedules.
• Provide remote and on‑site troubleshooting at customer locations.

What you’ll need:

• A diploma or degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least two years of relevant experience in automation or semiconductors.
• Strong PLC and HMI programming skills; Omron, Mitsubishi, and Pro‑face experience is preferred.
• The ability to read, design, and troubleshoot electrical schematics.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and good written and spoken English.
• The ability to work to tight schedules, provide after‑hours support when required, and travel for business at short notice.
