Job summary

ABS CONNECT PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Software Architect / Full Stack Engineer in Singapore to lead design and development of scalable, secure enterprise applications. You will work on microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native solutions across AWS/Azure with front-end work in React/Angular.

The role requires deep Java/Spring Boot expertise, strong database and integration experience, and a track record of driving modernization and secure software delivery in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of software development or software architecture experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Extensive microservices architecture and REST API design experience.
• Hands-on with JPA/Hibernate and relational databases.
• Experience with React and/or Angular for full-stack development.
• Solid knowledge of enterprise integration and API design.
• Cloud experience on AWS and/or Azure platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and database tuning.
• Proficient in CI/CD, DevOps/DevSecOps and application security.
• Excellent debugging and root-cause analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance enterprise applications and microservices.
• Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and JPA/Hibernate.
• Build and maintain frontend applications using React and/or Angular.
• Design and implement enterprise application integrations, APIs and messaging solutions.
• Integrate applications with financial systems, payment platforms and messaging systems like SWIFT.
• Design cloud-native solutions and deploy on AWS and/or Azure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and related tools.
• Drive modernization, migration, cloud adoption and technology transformation initiatives.
• Identify and remediate application, dependency and security vulnerabilities.
• Design and optimize database solutions (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Support automated testing with JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, stakeholders, security and infra teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and design reviews.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Architect / Full Stack Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, React/Angular, Cloud and Enterprise Application Integration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing secure, scalable and high-performance enterprise applications, integrating financial and enterprise systems, and contributing to application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

Experience in banking, financial services, payments or other regulated environments will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure and high-performance enterprise applications and microservices.
• Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and JPA/Hibernate.
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React and/or Angular.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API specifications and integration designs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 10 years of relevant software development / software architecture experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience in Microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with React and/or Angular and full-stack application development.
