Job summary

uarrow pte. ltd. seeks an experienced Software and Applications Manager to provide technical leadership and oversee development, enhancement and support of enterprise software applications.

You will lead software development activities, deliver scalable Java-based applications, microservices and RESTful APIs while ensuring reliability, security and performance in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of relevant Java application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with React and TypeScript for front-end development.
• Experience with Spring JPA, Hibernate, JPQL and relational databases such as MySQL/MariaDB.
• Experience with Cloud Foundry (PCF) and/or OpenShift.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with JUnit and Mockito.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring JPA and Hibernate.
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Design and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka, producers, consumers and message queues.
• Develop front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
• Integrate applications with relational databases including MySQL and MariaDB.
• Develop integrations with third-party systems and external services.
• Deploy and support applications on Cloud Foundry (PCF) and OpenShift platforms.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins.
• Perform unit testing using JUnit and Mockito and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues.
• Monitor application health, Kafka consumer performance and database performance using Kibana and Grafana.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimisations; improve reliability.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams in an Agile environment.
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to standards.
