Job summary

Boys' Town in Singapore is seeking a Residential Services Social Worker to provide case management, counselling, and therapeutic interventions for residents under its care. You will collaborate with families, schools, government agencies and multidisciplinary teams to support rehabilitation and reintegration.

You will manage intake, develop Individualised Care Plans, conduct group programmes, maintain documentation, and uphold safeguarding and confidentiality in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work recognised by SASW.
• Experience in child protection, residential care, youth work, counselling, or case management is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal, assessment, report-writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Job description

The Residential Services Social Worker provides case management, counselling, and therapeutic interventions for residents under Boys' Town Residential Services. Working closely with families, schools, government agencies, and multidisciplinary teams, the Social Worker supports residents' rehabilitation, well-being, and successful reintegration into their families and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of residents admitted under a Child Protection Orders, Probation Orders, Family Guidance Orders, MSF referrals, and Compassionate Grounds.

• Conduct intake, assessment, case planning, and review processes for assigned residents.

• Develop and implement Individualised Care Plans (ICP) to address residents' developmental, behavioural, emotional, and family needs.

• Provide individual and family counselling, casework, and therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group programmes.

• Monitor residents' progress and conduct regular case reviews.

• Maintain timely and accurate case documentation, reports, and records.

• Collaborate with Residential Services staff, Education Officers, and other professionals to support residents' care plans.

• Liaise and coordinate with external stakeholders including MSF, schools, Family Service Centres, Youth Court, Protection Officers, Probation Officers, and other community partners.

• Represent residents and Boys' Town at case conferences, court hearings, reviews, and other professional meetings as required.

• Support programme development, resident activities, and organisational initiatives.

• Uphold professional ethics, safeguarding standards, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work recognised by the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW)

• Experience in child protection, residential care, youth work, counselling, or case management will be an advantage.

• Strong interpersonal, assessment, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
