Job summary

Nexus International School Singapore is seeking a Classroom Assistant (Learning Support - Social Emotional) to support learners with social and emotional needs and assist teachers in delivering an inclusive curriculum.

The role requires patience, resilience, and strong English communication, with the ability to work closely with families, colleagues, and external agencies to foster positive outcomes for all learners. Experience in neurodiverse settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum O level education and equivalent (as per local guidelines).
• Relevant working experience in an international context is preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience working with learners with social and emotional needs.
• Experience delivering one-to-one and small group interventions for social and emotional needs (e.g., mindfulness, social skills).
• Strong IT skills and ability to use common software and devices.

Responsibilities

• Support the personal, social and emotional development of learners.
• Oversee intervention programmes and work with the Counselling Team to deliver interventions.
• Set up individual programmes and design appropriate schedules.
• Develop and manage resources for Learning Support initiatives.
• Carry out pull-out and push-in interventions with learners or groups.
• Monitor progress and liaise with teachers to collect data.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
