vertexsolutions is seeking Project Engineers in Singapore to lead engineering activities for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will guide projects from concept through commissioning while working in collaborative teams to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities include developing system designs, managing engineering deliverables, and liaising with stakeholders for project approvals. A degree in engineering and relevant experience in renewable energy are essential for this role.
We are seeking multiple Project Engineers with a passion for renewable energy and hands‑on experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In this role you will lead engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility through to construction and commissioning. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with high standards for safety, quality and sustainability.
As Project Engineer you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the detailed engineering work for BESS projects. This includes developing system designs, preparing project layouts and documentation, and supporting survey and site assessment activities to ensure optimal design and delivery. You will also take the lead in managing spatial data, applying GIS tools, and conducting yield analysis and performance modelling to inform design decisions and maximise efficiency.
A central part of the role will involve working with consultants, contractors, vendors and internal teams to integrate BESS solutions into a wider portfolio of renewable energy projects. You will also play an active role in stakeholder engagement, liaising with landowners, councils, community representatives, grid operators and regulators to ensure projects gain the necessary approvals and maintain compliance throughout the development and delivery process.
Alongside the technical elements, you will be responsible for preparing and managing engineering deliverables, estimates, schedules and reports. Monitoring progress against budget, identifying and managing risks, and ensuring that projects are delivered to standards for quality, safety and environmental compliance will be essential. The role will also require occasional travel to project sites to oversee engineering activities and maintain close connection between design and delivery.
