Job summary

Xiaomi Technology Singapore is seeking an experienced operations and backend engineer to join our global platform team. You will participate in 24x7 on‑call rotations, help detect and respond to online faults, and work with R&D to design scalable backend architectures.

You will also build automation tools to reduce manual tasks, optimize service management, and drive cost efficiency while communicating effectively in English with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Unix/Linux, Bash, TCP/IP networking knowledge.
• Experience with at least one language (C++, Go, Java, Python) and Linux shell development.
• Good teamwork, responsibility, ability to work under pressure, and learning/innovation.
• Business fluent in English; Chinese Mandarin a plus (oral).

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Xiaomi's global business, participate in the team’s on‑call rotation (24x7), assist in the discovery and response of online faults.
2. Design the product back‑end architecture together with R&D engineers, realize distributed and clustered operation and maintenance, ensure cluster availability and stability, formulate and implement relevant operation and maintenance technical solutions to ensure efficient and stable operation of services.
3. Responsible for the design and implementation of automation tools or systems related to operation and maintenance, reduce manual intervention, and realize the operation and maintenance system management business system.
4. Cost control and optimization through technical means, and improvement of service management efficiency through tooling and processes.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. In-depth understanding of Unix/Linux system and Bash operation, in-depth understanding of TCP/IP and IPv6 and other network protocols are better.
3. Familiar with at least one of the languages, such as C++/GO/JAVA/Python, and have some experience in Linux shell development.
4. Have a sense of teamwork and communication skills, have a sense of responsibility, have the courage to take pressure, and have strong learning and innovation capabilities.
5. Business fluent in English; Chinese Mandarin a plus (oral part only is acceptable).
