Job summary

Xiaomi Technology Singapore is seeking a capable backend operations engineer to manage the global business's day-to-day run, including on-call rotations and fault response. You will help design backend architecture, realize distributed and clustered operation and maintenance, and implement automation tools to improve stability and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a CS/engineering degree, strong Unix/Linux and network knowledge, and proficiency in C++/Go/Java/Python, with good English

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
In-depth understanding of Unix/Linux systems and Bash.
Familiar with at least one programming language (C++/Go/Java/Python).
Strong teamwork, communication, responsibility and learning ability.
Fluent in English; Mandarin a plus (oral).

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain Xiaomi's global business, participate in on-call rotation (24x7).
Design back-end architecture with R&D to support distributed/clusters and maintain service availability.
Develop automation tools to reduce manual intervention and improve system management.
Cost control and efficiency improvements through tooling and processes.
