Job summary

SMCC Overseas Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Construction Manager / Site Engineer/Supervisor to coordinate subcontractors and site activities in Singapore. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely execution across civil, structural, architectural disciplines.

You will review drawings, lead a cross-functional team, and resolve on-site issues while maintaining thorough site records. A strong background in EPCM environments and local regulations is required.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Team player with ability to work in a cross-functional EPCM environment.
• Good time management and understanding of project management.
• Knowledge of the local codes & regulations.
• Experience as Construction Manager or Site Engineer/Supervisor (Civil/Structural/Architectural) in commercial/residential/factory/plant projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor and control subcontractors and site work to meet safety and quality requirements.
• Establish and maintain a safe site environment with compliant welfare and security provisions.
• Review drawings, extract information and lead site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors in execution.
• Execute, monitor and control site progress to ensure tasks are done in the correct sequence with appropriate tools and manpower.
• Resolve site construction issues related to temporary or permanent works.
• Maintain records of site events and activities for analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager by coordinating, monitoring and control of the subcontractors and site work according to the design, plan, schedule to achieve the required safety and quality requirement.

• a) Establish and maintain a conducive site environment with methodology which comply with the safety, environmental, welfare and security provision.
• b) Review the drawings and extract the necessary information and lead the Site Engineers, Site Supervisors and Subcontractors in the execution of the work.
• c) Execute, monitor and control the site progress to see that the task is executed as plan, it is done right with the right sequence, execute with the correct tools, equipment and sufficient manpower.
• d) Resolve site construction issues related to temporary or permanent work.
• e) Maintain the record of the site event and activities for analysis.

Requirements

• a) Strong oral and written communication skills

• c) Must be a team player and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Ability to remain calm and productive in a high-pressure / EPCM environment.
