Job summary

Navsar Global, partnering with a leading client, seeks an Electrical Site Engineer for the IWMF Tuas Site in Singapore on a 1-year contract. This landmark infrastructure project integrates waste treatment technologies to support Singapore's sustainable future.

The role involves overseeing electrical installation on-site, supervising contractors, and ensuring adherence to schedules, quality and safety. You will coordinate with mechanical, civil and instrumentation teams, participate in testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of proven experience as an Electrical Site Engineer on large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of MV/LV distribution, control, earthing, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and review electrical schematics and layout drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all electrical installation works on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications, design drawings, and relevant industry standards.
• Supervise contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring quality of workmanship, progress, and compliance with safety regulations and project timelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedule and quality.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and work permits related to electrical installations.
• Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, instrumentation) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Participate in the testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, motors, control panels, cabling, lighting, and earthing systems.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, maintain accurate site records, and manage documentation related to electrical works.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the installation and commissioning phases.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site.
• Liaise with the client, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.

• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, BS, SS).
• Ability to read, interpret, and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise site activities, manage contractors, and ensure quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to site challenges.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software is a plus.
• A commitment to safety and a strong understanding of site safety protocols.
