Job summary

EA RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a site-based engineer to support EPC projects in Tuas.

You will coordinate with multiple disciplines and contractors to ensure design targets and client requirements are met, while managing documentation and progress. Requirements include a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, at least 2 years in related roles, and experience with oil & gas EPC projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Oil & gas experience in EPC projects preferred.
• Past experience with contractor partners as main contractor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Manager on contractors/consultants sourcing, inquiry package issuing, work scope clarification, and evaluation & selection.
• Coordinate with OPS, ENG, PSM, EHS and contractors/consultants to ensure design meets cost targets and client requirements.
• Handle issued drawings, MSRA, SWP and ensure proper project documentation management.
• Work with contractors/consultants, clients and/or PMC to plan and schedule critical paths to avoid delays on mechanical completion.
• Oversee day-to-day site management, supervise workforce and subcontractors.
• Ensure on-site quality control and health & safety standards are met.
• Monitor and manage construction cost, including progress billing and expenses.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management.

Job Responsibilities

• Support Manager on contractors/consultants sourcing, inquiry package issuing, work scope clarification, and evaluation & selection.
• Coordinate with all disciplines within company (OPS, ENG,PSM, EHS etc.) and contractors/consultants, to ensure the design meets cost targets and client requirements.
• Handling of issued drawings, MSRA, SWP etc. to ensure proper project documentation management is put in place.
• Working closely with contractors/consultants, clients and/or PMC to plan ahead and schedule critical work paths to avoid delays or obstructions on mechanical completion.
• Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the work progress, site labor force and any work of subcontractors.
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters onsite.
• Assist Manager to monitor and manage the overall construction cost, including contractors/consultants' progress billing, construction expenses and cost of variation order.
• Prepare and submit the weekly and monthly progress construction reports to management.
• To follow up and arrange with all parties for weekly/monthly progress meeting.
• Ensure project execution adheres to the tender drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors/consultants and the client throughout project commissioning stage to ensure compliance with the contractual performance bond requirements.
• Coordinate the project handover in accordance with the Project Development SOP.
• To undertake any other duties that may be assigned to you by the Management, from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or any other equivalent engineering-related qualification
• Experience in oil & gas industries, especially in EPC projects preferred
• Past contractor partners' working experiences and/or managing contractor partners as main contractor, would be preferred.
• At least 2-years related experience
