Job summary

WISE SAFETY & HEALTH PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Resident Engineer to supervise civil/structural projects on site. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and authority regulations while coordinating with clients, consultants, and authorities.

Regular site inspections and documentation are required. The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, Resident Engineer registration, and relevant field supervision experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Registered as a Resident Engineer.
• Relevant experience in supervising civil, structural or infrastructure works.
• Familiar with Singapore construction practices, authority requirements and relevant codes and standards.
• 5.5-day work week.

Responsibilities

• Represent the client in supervising and monitoring construction activities.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and relevant authority regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and verify the quality and progress of works.
• Review method statements, shop drawings, material submissions and other technical documents.
• Monitor contractors’ work schedules and highlight delays, defects or non-compliance.
• Coordinate with the client, consultants, contractors and relevant authorities to resolve site and technical issues.
• Witness inspections and testing, and maintain proper site records, reports and documentation.
• Monitor rectification works and ensure outstanding items are properly closed out.
• Attend site, technical, progress and coordination meetings.
• Support testing, commissioning, completion inspections and project handover.
