Job summary

HITACHI AQUA-TECH ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced commissioning engineer to manage testing and startup of water and wastewater facilities both onshore and offshore.

You will lead the development of commissioning plans, procedures, and training materials while coordinating with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. The role requires a degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, at least 10 years in water treatment and oil & gas projects, offshore travel, and strong

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Engineering (Mechanical).
• Strong technical knowledge.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in water and waste treatment and offshore/onshore Oil & Gas or FPSO.
• Willingness to travel to offshore project sites for commissioning/startup.
• PM experience is an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office and Microsoft Project.
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
• Systematic, able to work under pressure and well organized.
• Meticulous with good report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing the testing and commissioning of water and wastewater onshore and offshore facilities (FPSO and etc).


• Lead the development and execution of commissioning and startup plans.


• Lead the development of written procedures for testing, cleaning and initial startup of major plant equipment and systems.


• Manage client/vendor/subcontractor coordination for the startup of completed systems. Provide training program and materials for process plant equipment.


• Manage documentation of the commissioning process, including commissioning data and as built documentation, input to O&Ms and feedback to the design disciplines.


• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.


• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.


• Recognize the importance of satisfying the customer as the key to achieving other objectives.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering and/or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)


• Strong Technical Knowledge


• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Water and Waste Treatment and experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO line(s)


• Travel to offshore project sites and perform offshore commissioning / assist facility startup


• Those with relevant project management / plant testing & commissioning experience will be an added advantage


• Proficient in MS Office and Microsoft Project


• A resourceful self-starter who possess excellent problem-solving skills


• Systematic and able to work under pressure


• Mature, proactive, take initiative and well organized
