Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Public Policy Manager in Singapore to shape and execute the company’s public policy strategy, working closely with the Singapore & ASEAN Public Policy Lead to advance priorities and build trusted relationships with government and industry stakeholders.

You will analyze regulatory developments, identify risks and opportunities, collaborate with Legal, Safety, and cross‑functional teams, and help enable innovation and sustainable growth across the region.

Qualifications

Significant experience working with or in government, politics or a regulatory agency in Singapore.
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Public Affairs, Legal or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Deep understanding of the formulation and execution of public policy strategies, including the policy/regulatory environment relevant to platforms in Singapore.
Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex situations, effectively communicate their implications for the company, and defend priorities for the business and public policy function.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with outstanding attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of effective collaboration with peers on cross-functional projects.
Motivated and resilient self-starter, adaptable and able to manage ambiguity. Comfortable working in a multi-cultural and complex organisation.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and execution of Singapore's public policy strategy, owning key policy workstreams and cross-functional initiatives.
Provide insights and analysis of industry trends, regulatory developments and emerging policy issues, proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities and translating them into actionable policy recommendations.
Build and independently manage relationships with government agencies, regulators, industry associations, academia, and other external stakeholders, while partnering with senior leaders on strategic engagements.
Work closely with Legal and relevant safety teams to manage the business' regulatory compliance with local laws.
Work with cross-functional teams to build and execute impactful public policy initiatives which build trust and reputation for the business in Singapore and regionally.
Develop and maintain a strong network of third-party public interest groups, industry associations and academics engaged in technology policy issues.
Advise and work with partners including Trust & Safety, Brand & Communications, Legal, E-commerce and other business teams. You'll work in collaboration on public policy matters in order to leverage opportunities and mitigate risks, inform business decisions and guide the development of policies, products and services.
