Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking an experienced Procurement Director to lead strategic sourcing, procurement operations, supplier management, and commercial negotiations for a rapidly expanding data center business across Asia Pacific.

This role will develop procurement strategies that support both data center development projects and operational facilities, ensuring cost optimization, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Construction Management).
• Minimum 12 years of procurement/supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Proven experience supporting large-capex projects and data center/critical infrastructure procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead procurement for new data center development and expansion projects.
• Negotiate complex commercial agreements and long-term supply contracts.
• Manage supplier performance and risk across quality, cost, delivery and service KPIs.

This role will be responsible for developing procurement strategies that support both data center development projects and operational facilities, ensuring cost optimization, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and successful project execution.

The Procurement Director will partner closely with Construction, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership teams to support business growth and regional expansion.

Strategic Procurement Leadership

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Drive category management, supplier performance management, and procurement governance.
• Deliver cost reduction and value creation initiatives across key spend categories.
• Lead procurement transformation and continuous improvement projects.

Data Center Construction Procurement

• Manage procurement activities for new data center development and expansion projects.
• Lead sourcing and commercial negotiations for critical infrastructure packages, including:
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Cooling solutions
  • UPS systems
  • Generators
  • Switchgear and transformers
  • Fire protection systems
  • Building management systems
  • Structured cabling and network infrastructure
• Support project delivery timelines through proactive supplier engagement and risk management.

Supplier & Contract Management

• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships.
• Negotiate complex commercial agreements and long‑term supply contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance against quality, cost, delivery, and service KPIs.
• Develop supplier risk mitigation and business continuity plans.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with internal stakeholders across Construction, Engineering, Facilities Management, and Operations.
• Provide procurement expertise during project planning, design, and execution phases.
• Support regional leadership with market intelligence and sourcing strategies.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop procurement professionals across the region.
• Foster a high‑performance and commercially driven procurement culture.
• Mentor team members and build succession capabilities.

Requirements

Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of procurement or supply chain experience.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing procurement teams.
• Proven experience supporting large‑scale CAPEX projects.
