Job summary

HireArt is sourcing a Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator – Singapore to lead local community engagement for voice data projects. You will recruit and onboard Singaporean participants, blending digital outreach with in-person activities to capture authentic voices and linguistic diversity.

The role emphasizes understanding of Singapore English varieties, strong outreach skills, and comfort with new software.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English with strong Singlish awareness.
• Knowledge of Singapore culture, communities, and linguistic nuances.
• Familiarity with online platforms used by Singaporeans for outreach.
• Outgoing communication style and ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Comfort learning new software and guiding participants through processes.
• Strong interpersonal and empathetic approach with participants.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently toward recruitment goals.
• Ability to conduct online and in-person outreach across Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Recruit participants who speak SSE, Singlish, and other Singapore English varieties.
• Drive outreach through local online communities, social platforms, and university boards.
• Build awareness via in-person outreach, events, and direct engagement.
• Guide participants through the voice recording process and support usage of required software.
• Provide participant support and troubleshoot minor issues during recording.
• Collaborate with the core team to share feedback, track recruitment, and adjust strategies.
