We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Silicon photonic design engineer to join our team developing next-generation optical interconnects for AI and data center applications. You will design, simulate, and validate photonic devices and circuits. This role combines technical depth with cross-functional collaboration.
This role necessitates a hands-on approach in designing photonics IC which includes schematic capture, layout and validating device in the lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking products from the initial concept phase through production.
Responsibilities include
Design, layout and optimize photonic devices (lasers, modulators, detectors, waveguides).
Perform simulations using industry-standard tools (Lumerical, Synopsys, COMSOL).
Collaborate with packaging, electronics, and firmware teams to ensure system-level integration.
Support prototype development, testing, and bring-up of photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
Document design methodologies and contribute to IP development.

Strong written and verbal communication skills
MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related field.
Hands-on experience with PIC design and layout.

Familiarity with scripting/programming (Python, MATLAB, C++).
