Job summary

Crystal Offshore PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Shipyard Safety Supervisor to oversee safety compliance for shipyard subcontractors and operations. You will enforce permit-to-work, participate in daily safety meetings, and ensure adherence to safety standards across all trades.

The role requires three years in a marine shipyard and valid safety assessor certificates, with proficiency in MS Office and a strong safety mindset. Weekend roster work may be required to support project timelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold Shipyard Safety Supervisor Certificate and related assessor certificates.
• Minimum three years of marine shipyard experience in safety roles.
• Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Independent, diligent, and able to handle fast-paced environments with rostered shifts.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Permit-To-Work system and enforce subcontractor safety rules.
• Participate in daily Tool Box meetings with shipyard and subcontractors’ workforce.
• Attend Vessel Safety Coordination Committee meetings.
• Conduct safety inductions as required.
• Ensure HSE compliance for subcontractors across shipyard works such as scaffolding, piping, electrical, and hydrotesting.
• Prepare and submit Incident/Accident Investigation Reports to Safety/Project Managers.
• Supervise safety compliance during heavy lifting operations.
• Participate in internal and client safety and ISO audits when required.
• Raise awareness of unsafe acts and conditions and assist with JSA and RA activities.
