ACHIEVE CAREER CONSULTANT PTE LTD is seeking a Shipping Lead to oversee its dry bulk operations and lead a team of vessel operators in Singapore. This leadership role focuses on driving operational efficiency, team development and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in dry bulk vessel operations, strong leadership skills and a proven ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in dry bulk vessel operations.
• Experience in team leadership or mentoring is advantageous.

Our client, an established international organisation in the commodities and shipping industry, is seeking a Shipping Lead to oversee its dry bulk operations and lead a team of vessel operators.

This is an opportunity for an experienced shipping professional to take on a leadership role, driving operational efficiency, team development and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of vessel operators, providing guidance, coaching and support.
• Oversee the execution of dry bulk voyages, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including freight trading teams, shipowners, vessel masters and agents.
• Monitor operational performance, manage risks and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, controls and overall team performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in dry bulk vessel operations, particularly time charter operations.
• Prior experience in team leadership, supervision or mentoring would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of voyage execution, charter party terms and vessel operations.
• Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
