Job summary

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Engineer for ship repairs at Gul Base. You will join a maintenance team to ensure fleet availability and support planned maintenance activities.

On board vessels you will conduct troubleshooting of systems, supervise and guide workers, and coordinate with suppliers and the Owner Rep on maintenance tasks. Official work hours are 7am–5pm, five days a week, with occasional trips to BraniBase or Benoi Yard.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NTC in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or related.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, Engines and Electrical principles.
• Proficient in using hand tools such as wrenches and calipers.
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a maintenance team ensuring fleet availability for client
• Manage planned maintenance activities
• Conduct troubleshooting of systems onboard vessels
• Supervise and guide workers in maintenance tasks
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors when required
• Coordinate with Owner Rep on issues pertaining to maintenance task
• Any tasks as directed by Site Manager
