Job summary

SEASCAPE TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled Ship Repair Asst Engineer/Engineer to manage day-to-day harbourcraft docking and repair operations, coordinating with shipyards, suppliers and clients.

You will plan field service activities, prepare quotations, oversee procurement of spares, and provide remote technical support, with a strong emphasis on communication and the ability to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Marine Engineering or similar required.
• Past experience in marine/shipyard/ship repairs preferred.
• Experience coordinating afloat repairs is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage service job execution and coordinate with shipyard teams.
• Liaise with customers such as ship managers, ship owners, and agents.
• Prepare quotations and purchase orders, tools & equipment lists and procure spares/materials, and final invoicing.
• Coordinate transport for contractors and equipment to sites including anchorage.
• Daily work planning for a small team (about 10 staff) and reporting.
• Answer customer queries and provide remote technical support.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Ship Repair Asst Engineer/Engineer to manage day-to-day operations and coordination of harbourcraft/medium size vessels dockings and repairs Singapore, including anchorage repairs as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• * Manage service job execution and coordinate with Shipyard Production Team, Purchasing, Technical, Classification Societies, Ship Designers, etc.
• * Liaise with customers, such as Ship Managers, Ship Owners, Agents and others.
• * Prepare quotations for tariff and non-tariff jobs, Purchase Orders (to suppliers), tools & equipment lists and procurement of Spares/Materials, etc. and final invoicing to client.
• * Coordinate transport if necessary of contractors/suppliers, tools & equipment to and from job sites including anchorage.
• * Daily work planning for shipyard team (small workforce, 10 pax) including manpower planning, reporting, etc.
• * Answer customer queries and provide remote technical support.

Requirements:

• * Diploma in Marine Engineering or similar.
• * Past experience in marine/shipyard/ship repairs will be preferred.
• * Experience in coordinating marine service work, especially afloat repairs will be an advantage.
