Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd seeks a maintenance technician to join the team ensuring fleet availability and coordinating with Owner Rep on ongoing tasks. You will troubleshoot onboard systems, supervise field personnel, and liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely maintenance.

The role requires a diploma or NTC in mechanical or marine engineering, and practical knowledge of engines, mechanical systems, and electrical principles. Weekend/odd-hour work and sun exposure are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NTC in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or related.
• Knowledge of mechanical, engines and electrical principles.
• Proficient with hand tools such as wrenches and calipers.
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a maintenance team ensuring fleet availability for client.
• Manage planned maintenance activities.
• Conduct troubleshooting of systems onboard vessels.
• Supervise and guide workers in maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors when required.
• Coordinate with Owner Rep on maintenance issues.
• Any tasks as directed by Site Manager.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a maintenance team ensuring fleet availability for client
• Manage planned maintenance activities
• Conduct troubleshooting of systems onboard vessels
• Supervise and guide workers in maintenance tasks
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors when required
• Coordinate with Owner Rep on issues pertaining to maintenance task
• Any tasks as directed by Site Manager

Requirements:

• Diploma or NTC in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or related
• Possess knowledge in Mechanical, Engines and Electrical principles
• Proficient in using hand tools such as wrenches and calipers
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Able to work under the sun and onboard vessel, with no sea sickness
• Able to work during weekends and public holidays and or odd-hours
