Job summary

Kepler Search is seeking a Ship Financing Broker in Singapore to advise shipowners and operators on raising capital and structuring debt, connecting them with banks, funds, and providers. You will originate and execute transactions from approach to close, with scope to lead the Singapore platform over time.

The role welcomes 4+ years in ship finance or related advisory; senior candidates may shape strategy, build a team, and head the local business. Local relocation is considered as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years in ship finance, shipping banking, shipbroking or a related advisory role.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of shipping markets and how vessel financings are structured.
• An established network among shipping lenders and owners is a clear advantage.
• Seniority and leadership experience are welcome for candidates looking to step into a country head position.
• Excellent communication skills and a commercial, client-facing approach.

Responsibilities

• Originate and arrange ship finance transactions, including senior debt, structured and alternative financing
• Build relationships with shipowners, banks, leasing houses and credit funds
• Prepare financing proposals, information memoranda and supporting financial analysis
• Advise clients on capital structure, pricing and market appetite
• Coordinate transactions with lenders, legal counsel and other advisers through to completion

Kepler Search is working exclusively with a leading international shipbroking and advisory group on the search for a Ship Financing Broker to build out its financing offering in Singapore. The role is open to local candidates as well as those willing to relocate.

The business is open to different levels of experience. It would welcome a rising broker with 4+ years in the market, and equally a seasoned professional who could take on a country head role and lead the platform in Singapore over time.

The role

You will advise shipowners and operators on raising capital and structuring debt, and you will connect them with banks, funds and other capital providers. You will be involved in originating and executing transactions from first approach through to financial close. For a more senior hire, there is scope to shape the strategy, build the team and head up the business locally.
