Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a bioprocess operations professional to support upstream manufacturing in a cGMP setting. You will own inoculation, cell culture and recovery processes, coordinate with engineers, and ensure batch documentation is complete and compliant.

You will lead shift activities, drive improvements, and maintain audit readiness while contributing to safety and quality across the production line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biologicals, Biomedical, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmacy or Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years in biologics/pharmaceutical industry with 3+ years upstream experience.
• Experience leading a shift team and ownership of tasks.
• Strong problem solving and good interpersonal/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ownership of upstream operation area including inoculation, cell culture and recovery.
• Plans and executes manufacturing operations using validated programs (LIMS, SAP, DeltaV, POMSnet, automated systems).
• Completes tasks efficiently and drives process improvements.
• Ensures records accuracy and supports regulatory audits and inspections.
