Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Biomanufacturing Supervisor to lead the Biologics stream for clinical and bulk drug substance production, ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and operational standards.

You will manage shift activities, drive troubleshooting, and support CAPA implementation across upstream/downstream processes. The role requires 5+ years in biotech/pharma, 2+ years in supervision, and strong knowledge of cGMPs with excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical industry
• 2 years of Supervisory Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs
• Strong problem solving and prioritization skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing in a biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical environment
• Strong workload management and organizational skills
• Good writing skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the Biologics stream to manufacture clinical and bulk drug substance per safety, regulatory and operational requirements
• Organize daily and weekly shift activities and direct shift personnel
• Drive process troubleshooting and CAPAs; implement changes
• Oversee batch records and SOP-related training materials
• Maintain audit readiness and safety culture across shift teams
• Coordinate cross-stream initiatives and audits
• Operate computerised systems (MES/HMI/PLC) and related technologies
