Trade is part of the Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) business of Citi and involves a broad range of funded and unfunded Trade products and solutions including documentary services (letters of credit, insurance, guarantees), trade and working capital loans, receivables finance, and payable finance. The Product Management and Product Development functions work with Trade Architecture and Controls to deliver the full suite of solutions to clients. Citi aims to transform the Trade business into a digital, straight-through, scalable model, meeting client requirements, improving ops efficiency and enabling future product expansion. We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to join our team as Services - Market Segment Lead – PaaS & Core Trade Asia – Director.

Responsibilities

High Value Client Segment

  • Develop a strategic roadmap for High Value Corporate client engagement across Asian clients and Asian flows, and deploy capabilities to maximize client opportunities.
  • Understand regional differences of client segments and amend global strategies accordingly.
  • Partner with Trade Sales and Client coverage teams to drive execution of global strategies for these flows.
  • Collaborate with trade sales and client coverage teams to maintain Share Of Mind for Core Trade products and emphasize its importance to clients.
  • Ensure accountability of partner groups to pitch Core Trade products to clients and achieve targets.
  • Drive client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status.
  • Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmaps, and identify product gaps through feedback from Trade Sales, Client coverage, and clients.
  • Work with Core Trade Product groups to identify gaps and prioritize solutions as needed.
  • Drive achievement of segment financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals, along with other identified KPIs.
  • Lead innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products and manage relationships.
  • Assess risk in business decisions with regard to the firm’s reputation, laws, rules, and regulations; adhere to policy and ethical standards and ensure accountability where needed.

Platform as a Service

  • Accountable Executive for the PaaS Solution
  • Maintain relationships with PaaS clients
  • Oversee delivery of the PaaS solution
  • Work with partners to drive strategic development and delivery of the optimal PaaS solution
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • MBA or equivalent business experience is good to have.
  • 10+ years of experience in client-facing leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of client delivery driving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of trade finance, supply chain, or logistics domains is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments and drive results.
