Job summary

NOVENCO Building & Industry is seeking a Service Manager, APAC based in Singapore. You will establish the regional service capability, work hands-on with customers, coordinate partners and shape processes for a scalable service organisation across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Job description

NOVENCO has built a significant installed base of high-performance ventilation equipment across the Asia-Pacific region. The next step is to strengthen how we support that equipment throughout its lifecycle.

As Service Manager, APAC, you will take a central role in building NOVENCO’s regional service capability from the ground up. Initially, the position will be highly hands‑on: supporting customers, coordinating and developing service partners, troubleshooting technical issues and creating the processes required for a structured service organisation.

Over time, you will help transform this capability into a scalable regional service business generating recurring revenue through maintenance agreements, spare parts, retrofits and lifecycle support.

Your Impact

• Establish and develop NOVENCO’s service capability across the Asia-Pacific region.
• Provide hands‑on technical support for service, troubleshooting, commissioning, warranty and maintenance activities during the initial development of the function.
• Work closely with NOVENCO’s global technical and warranty teams to progressively build stronger service capability within APAC.
• Reduce dependency on technical resources travelling from Denmark by developing local knowledge, processes and capabilities.
• Coordinate existing contractors and service partners supporting NOVENCO equipment across the region.
• Train, develop and qualify service partners to ensure consistent technical standards and customer experience.
• Establish structured service processes, working methods and documentation for regional service activities.
• Develop service‑level agreements, schedules of rates and consistent commercial frameworks for commonly performed service activities.
• Build visibility of NOVENCO’s installed base and identify opportunities for maintenance, spare parts, upgrades and retrofit solutions.
• Develop and sell preventive maintenance and service agreements that create recurring revenue and stronger long‑term customer relationships.
• Support customers throughout the equipment lifecycle and identify opportunities for future upgrades, retrofits and equipment replacement.
• Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain and global service teams to deliver effective customer solutions.
• Monitor service performance, customer satisfaction, cost and profitability and continuously improve the regional service offering.
• Support the future development of local service resources and capabilities across key APAC markets as the business grows.
• Contribute to the long‑term strategy and commercial development of NOVENCO’s APAC aftermarket and service business.

What You Bring

• Strong, hands‑on experience within technical service, field service, commissioning, maintenance or troubleshooting of technical equipment.
• Previous experience leading service activities, service teams, contractors or technical partners.
• Experience within HVAC, ventilation or air movement systems is highly advantageous; candidates from industrial equipment, machinery, rotating equipment, marine, offshore or similar technical environments may also be relevant.
• Strong understanding of equipment troubleshooting, maintenance and commissioning methodologies.
• Experience managing customer‑facing technical issues and complex service situations.
• Ability to work hands‑on today while also thinking strategically about how to build and scale a service organisation for the future.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing service contracts, aftermarket revenue, spare parts and retrofit opportunities.
• Experience working with contractors, distributors or third‑party service partners is advantageous.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capability.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to establish processes and structure where these do not yet exist.
• Strong customer relationship and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly across APAC.
• Professional proficiency in English. Additional regional languages are an advantage.

Your Background

You will typically bring 7–10+ years of relevant experience from technical service, maintenance, commissioning or related functions, including experience taking responsibility for service delivery, teams or external partners.

A Bachelor's degree within Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, HVAC Engineering or another relevant technical discipline is advantageous. However, strong practical service expertise, equipment knowledge and demonstrated technical capability are equally important.

This is not a role where you inherit a fully established regional service organisation.

In the short term, you will be close to customers and equipment, establishing technical capability, service processes and a reliable partner network. As the business develops, the role will increasingly move toward regional service leadership, strategy, recurring revenue development and the creation of local service capabilities across APAC.
