Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician in Singapore to service and repair automation equipment. You will diagnose and fix electrical, electronic and mechanical faults, and support installation and commissioning activities.

The role involves PLC basic troubleshooting, coordinating with customers and vendors, and preparing maintenance reports with a focus on safety and quality. Technical capability and field readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, repairing, or troubleshooting industrial machinery or automation equipment.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• PLC knowledge is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, servicing and repair of automation equipment and machinery.
• Attend to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical, electronic and mechanical faults.
• Diagnose technical issues and carry out necessary repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of equipment and systems.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of PLC and control systems when required.
• Coordinate maintenance and service activities with customers, contractors and internal teams.
• Liaise with equipment suppliers, vendors and contractors for complex technical issues.
• Provide on-site technical support and recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records and other technical documentation.
• Ensure all service activities are carried out according to safety and quality requirements.
• Maintain good customer relationships and provide timely technical support.

• Good electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• PLC knowledge is an advantage but not essential.

• Candidates who are technically capable and comfortable with hands-on troubleshooting are encouraged to apply.

• Comfortable working at height and in deep-freeze environments when required.
