Job summary

Albion Marine Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced Electrical/Automation Engineer for marine/offshore projects in Singapore. You will lead electrical and automation service jobs on vessels, ensuring compliance with classification rules and international maritime standards.

Engage with clients, suppliers and class authorities to perform load balance calculations, design reviews, and system schematics while travelling on short notice as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in Electrical, Automation, and Commercial within Marine/offshore oil/gas industries.
• Knowledge of classification society rules, codes and standards, and international maritime rules and regulations.
• Ability to lead complex projects and work with clients.

Responsibilities

• Attend vessels in Singapore harbours for electrical and automation service jobs.
• Provide EIA expertise to evaluate concept and detail design for Marine/Ship/offshore projects.
• Guide Team and Subcontractors to prepare electrical load balance calculations, SLD, SCC calculations, earthingsystem calculations, and component selection for Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.
• Develop a product service plan.
• Interface with other discipline engineers, clients, equipment suppliers, and class authorities.
• Attend vessels for inspections, commissioning, surveys, troubleshooting, and electrical repairs of systems on board.
• Organize and manage local EIA projects to achieve objectives.
• Direct, evaluate and confirm product design and changes.
• Deliberate with Management on project execution requirements and procedures.
• Examine technology and market demands to plan product commercialization projects.
• Must be able to travel on short notice.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in Electrical, Automation, and Commercial within Marine/offshore oil/gas industries.
• Knowledge of classification society rules, codes and standards, and international maritime rules and regulations.

Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Attend vessels in Singapore harbours for electrical and automation service jobs
• Provide EIA expertise to evaluate concept and detail design for Marine/Ship/offshore projects.
• Guide Team and Subcontractors to prepare electrical load balance calculations, SLD, SCC calculations, earthingsystem calculations, selection of components like transformers, rectifiers, UPS, circuit breakers, battery system, cable selection, cableschedule, cable bulk MTO, etc. for Electrical and Instrumentation discipline –Instrument list, I/O list, systems schematics, control philosophy, controlnarratives, control block diagrams, cause and effect table, data sheets, etc.
• Develop a product service plan.
• Interface with other discipline Engineers, Clients, Equipment Suppliers, and Class Authorities.
• Attend vessels for inspections, commissioning, surveys, troubleshooting, and electrical repairs of the EGS(Exhaust Gas Scrubbers), BWTS (Ballast Water Treatment Systems), Auxiliary Boilers, and other machinery.
• Organize and manage local EIA projects towards the fulfillment of a set objective.
• Direct, evaluate and confirm product design and possible changes.
• Deliberate with Management on the requirements and procedures for project execution.
• Examine technology and the demands of the market to plan procedures for product commercialization projects.
• Should be able to travel on short notice.
