Job summary

FUJIFILM HEALTHCARE ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Field Service Engineer to provide technical after‑sales support for medical equipment including X-ray, digital radiography and mammography systems.

The role covers commissioning, installation, testing, troubleshooting and ongoing customer training. Responsibilities include identifying complex startup issues, evaluating upgrades and service contracts, and maintaining strong client relationships to secure future business.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DICOM and medical imaging standards.
• Knowledge of X-ray, Digital Radiography, Mammography and related equipment.
• Background in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Radiation Worker License with NEA required.
• Familiarity with FUJIFILM X-ray equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently under supervision.
• Willingness to share knowledge within the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, including after sales support to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of medical equipment (X-ray, DR, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, CR).
• Identify and fix complex start-up problems.
• Evaluate upgrades and service contracts to meet customer needs.
• Develop ongoing customer relationships to secure future business.
• Troubleshoot and train customers on equipment features.
• Handle phone inquiries and support during office and after hours.
• Attend to daily service requests, breakdowns, and service support to marketing.
• Perform 24x7 standby for machine breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance under maintenance contracts.
• Support Sales in workshops, events and surgeries.
• Escalate to Fujifilm Japan Service Dept for complex issues.
• Study Engineering Change Notices from Fujifilm Japan Service Dept.
• Implement Technical Service Recalls from Fujifilm Japan Service Dept.

Job description

Responsibilities include:

• Provide technical, including after sales support to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of medical equipment (typical but not limited to X-ray, digital radiography, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, computer radiography)
• Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up
• Researching, evaluating, and recommending upgrades and service contracts that will meet customer needs
• Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business
• Resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and/or train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased
• Handlephone enquiry and support for customers during office and after office hours.
• Attend to daily service requests, breakdowns, and service support to marketing.
• Perform24x7 Standby duties to machine breakdown
• Perform Preventive Maintenance for medical equipment as part of scope of works under Maintenance contract
• Support Sales in organizing, preparing and standby for workshops, events and surgery procedures, seminars, exhibition.
• Communicates with reports to Service Dept in Fujifilm Japan for more complex troubleshooting
• Study Engineering Change Notice as issue by Fujifilm Japan Service Dept
• Implement Technical Service Recalls as issue by Fujifilm Japan Service Dept

Skills and knowledge

• Knowledge of DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine), a standard for Medical Imaging and related information (ISO 12052)
• Knowledge of Medical products in X-ray, Digital Radiography, Dry Laser Printers, Digital Mammography systems
• Knowledge in Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering
• Radiation Workers License with NEA radiation protection division is mandatory
• Knowledge in FUJIFILM Medical X-ray equipment will be added advantage
• Able to work independently with general supervision
• Willing to share knowledge within internal team
