Job summary

UNION JACK ELEVATOR PTE LTD is seeking a capable engineer to lead lift and escalator projects from initiation to handover in Singapore. You will coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and handover while liaising with clients, consultants and authorities to ensure adherence to drawings and safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years in related projects, strong coordination and communication skills, and willingness to travel to project sites across Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• 2 years of relevant experience in lift, escalator, building services, M&E or related projects.
• Experience in lift/escalator installation, testing, commissioning or maintenance is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Able to troubleshoot technical and site-related issues.
• Good project coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor lift and escalator projects from commencement through completion.
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate site activities and monitor progress against schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and site-related issues during installation and commissioning.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with drawings and safety requirements.
• Prepare project documentation, progress reports and technical submissions.
• Coordinate testing, inspection and rectification works prior to handover.
• Monitor materials, equipment and manpower requirements.
• Work with service and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore lift and escalator regulations and safety requirements.
• Attend project meetings and provide status updates.
• Support the Project Manager in managing timelines, costs and quality.

Requirements

• Experience in lift or escalator installation, testing, commissioning or maintenance will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Able to troubleshoot technical and site-related issues.
• Good project coordination and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple project activities.
• Willing to travel to different project sites in Singapore.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Candidates with relevant Singapore project experience will be preferred.
