RAIL ENGINEERING SYSTEMS & SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a highly motivated Senior Lift Technician or Engineer to oversee resource planning, maintenance execution, and compliance for lift and escalator installations in Singapore.

The role covers planning manpower, coordinating with clients, and ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met throughout the contract lifecycle, from site surveys to commissioning and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering.
• More than 5 years of relevant experience in lift/escalator industry.
• More than 10 years of relevant experience in lift/escalator industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance or servicing of lift & escalator equipment.
• Plan, organize and obtain manpower, materials, equipment for maintenance within contract obligations.
• Review contractual obligations, manage job site activities and reporting to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and authorities.
• Monitor parts delivery and logistics for maintenance projects.
• Site surveys for costing and quotation; post-award site surveys for design/order.

Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedSenior Lift Technician or Engineerto oversee the resource planning, routine or ad hoc execution, part delivery, and maintenance support of lift and escalator installations in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance portfolio from taking over of equipment in operation, while ensuring compliance with contractual, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance or Servicing of Lift & Escalator Equipment
• Attend Equipment Breakdown Call Backs
• Attend Emergency Rescue & Resource planning for repair or upgrading works

• Plan, organize and obtain the necessary manpower, materials, equipment or component and documentation required to execute the routine maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, repair or upgrading within approved purchase order or order confirmation or within contract obligation.
• Follow work schedules and implementation planned repair or trouble-shooting works to ensure timely completion of works.

Contract Administration & Compliance

• Review and understand Maintenance Contractual Obligations for Duration of contract, Sope of works, Performance Specifications, Safety and Technical requirements.
• Manage job site activities, timelines, approvals, documentation, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with contract conditions and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and authorities throughout the contract period.

Procurement, Manufacturing & Logistics Coordination

• Monitor parts or components arrival from overseas factories or supplier and coordinate, shipment, insurance, customs clearance, and logistics arrangements for delivery.
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment or component from Source to Client or Job site.

Site Survey & Cost Estimation for Lift Upgrading or Modernization

• Conduct pre-contract site surveys and gather technical information required for project costing and quotation.
• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive costing and technical support or solution to secure project.
• Conduct post-award site surveys to confirm equipment specifications, site conditions, and project requirements for detailed design, ordering and production.

Testing & Commissioning of upgraded or Modernized equipment

• Provide electrical technical support to complete testing & commissioning of equipment for handover or operation.
• Support relevant inspection to facilitate application and obtaining PTO from BCA

Documentation & Authority Approval

• Prepare and obtain approvals for:
• Safety Documentation
• T&C documentation

Workplace Safety & Health Management

• Plan and conduct regular safety activities including:
• Safety Training and Awareness Programs
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health requirements, including applicable MOM and BCA regulations.

Service Operations Support (Acting Service Manager Duties)

• Planning and scheduling routine maintenance and duty roster for services to lifts and escalators.
• Coordinating repair teams for breakdown recovery and corrective maintenance works.
• Supporting troubleshooting activities and fault investigation.
• Coordinating procurement and delivery of spare parts.
• Ensuring the safety of technicians, customers, and the public during maintenance operations.
• Reviewing and supporting preparation of service reports, incident reports, and accident reports.
• Maintaining effective communication with customers regarding service schedules, repair status, and project updates.
• Preparing quotations for maintenance, repair, modernization, and related works.
• Monitoring work orders, invoicing, and payment collection for completed services.
