Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse guests.

• Physical stamina to stand long and carry trays.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Professional appearance and grooming at all times.
• Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
• Basic numeracy for processing payments.
• Knowledge of allergies and dietary requirements is beneficial.
• Food Hygiene/Responsible Service of Alcohol certification advantageous.

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiters/Waitresses to join our team at EATALIA PTE. LTD. in the West Coast West Region. This is a full-time position where you will be at the forefront of our guests' dining experience, delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will play a vital role in creating memorable moments for our customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty to our establishment.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting guests warmly and seating them at appropriate tables in accordance with restaurant capacity and setup

• Presenting menus and providing knowledgeable recommendations about food and beverage offerings

• Taking accurate orders from customers and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff

• Serving food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring correct items reach the right guests

• Maintaining high standards of table service, including clearing plates, refilling glasses and replacing cutlery as needed

• Processing payments, operating the till system and handling cash or card transactions with accuracy

• Attending to special requests and addressing any guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and discretion

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of your section, including wiping tables and resetting them between services

• Collaborating with kitchen, bar and housekeeping staff to ensure seamless service delivery

• Adhering to health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards and company policies

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working as waiting staff in a restaurant, café or hospitality venue is highly desirable

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact confidently with diverse guests

• Strong attention to detail and ability to remember orders accurately and serve them correctly

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

• A professional appearance and well-groomed presentation at all times

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude

• Basic numeracy skills for processing payments and handling transactions

• Knowledge of food allergies, dietary requirements and menu items is beneficial

• Relevant qualifications such as Food Hygiene certification or Responsible Service of Alcohol would be advantageous
