Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Sensory Specialist for a 6-month direct contract in Boon Lay, Singapore. The role focuses on providing sensory expertise for innovation and product acceptance, and on developing the sensory team.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years in sensory evaluation within FMCG/R&D, with strong reporting and coaching skills. Working hours are Mon-Fri, location in Boon Lay.

Qualifications

• Min degree in Food Science/Chemistry with 5+ years in sensory evaluation.
• FMCG/R&D experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide sensory support for innovation/renovation projects and release products.
• Provide insights to Site/Category sensory teams on evaluation methodologies.
• Analyze, interpret and generate final reports; present results when required.
• Develop the Sensory Team to its evolved role.
• Teach and coach sensory panel leads on best practices.
• Assess capability of current sensory panel leads and plan training to close gaps.
• Plan to transition technician to panel leader of internal panel.
• Manage sensory panels and ensure quality.
• Provide timely feedback for improvements.
• Network and provide technical assistance to teams.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and keep up with field developments.
• Actively participate in Sensory network meetings and share best practices.
