Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an Engineer to support RAM lots and tools operations, optimize RAM tool performance, and drive cost-saving projects. You will manage lot disposition, coordinate with metrology teams, and train operations staff on procedures and best practices.

The role involves monitoring performance metrics, driving continuous improvement in metrology and RDA processes, and ensuring end-to-end project execution with emphasis on efficiency and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nano-optoelectronics, or Materials Science.
  • 2–3 years of metrology process experience.
  • Proficiency with metrology and RDA tools such as CDSEM, KLA, AFM, E-beam.
  • Experience optimizing RAM tools performance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support RAM lots and tools operations, optimize RAM tool performance, and lead cost-saving projects.
  • Manage lot disposition and ensure accurate measurements.
  • Collaborate with HVM RAM, metrology, and RDA process owners.
  • Coordinate trainings for operations on procedures and BKM.
  • Track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure end-to-end project execution including efficiency and RPT reduction.
  • Perform basic analysis of measurement data and GR&R.
  • Adhere to safety procedures.
  • Support additional assignments as directed by supervisor.
  • Willing to work day/night shifts, including weekends.
  • Apply AI to streamline workflows and enable data-driven decisions across projects.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Support the smooth operations of RAM lots and tools, including optimizing RAM tool performance and completing cost-saving projects.

  • Manage lot disposition and tool operations to ensure accurate completion of lot measurements without quality issues or errors.

  • Collaborate closely with teams like HVM RAM to align with metrology and RDA processes and work with process owners to ensure actions align with specifications and procedures.

  • Coordinate and conduct training or briefings for the operations team on procedures and best-known methods (BKM) or any changes communicated.

  • Track operational performance metrics and implement continuous improvement efforts to improve metrology and RDA processes.

  • Ensure end-to-end project execution, including efficiency and RPT reduction projects, to meet operational requirements.

  • Perform basic analysis of measurement data, including conducting GR&R and fixing RAM tools and performance to support investigations for process deviations.

  • Adhere to safety procedures and area work rules.

  • Support any additional assignments as advised by the supervisor.

  • Willing to work in shifts (day or night, including weekend)

    Using, applying and leveraging AI, identify opportunities to streamline workflows, optimize processes, and support innovation by incorporating AI-driven solutions and enabling data-driven decision making across projects and teams.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nano-optoelectronics, Material Science.

  • Proficiency with metrology and RDA tools such as CDSEM, KLA, AFM, E-beam

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in managing metrology process.

  • Experienced in tools optimization.
