Job summary

Mighty Engineering & Construction Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and monitor the WSH Management System on site.

The role involves conducting safety briefings, site inspections, and enforcing risk-control measures across project sites including Jurong Island. Ideal candidates will have a WSQ safety certificate and 6 years of construction experience, with strong communication skills and a willingness to travel to project locations as required.

Qualifications

• WSQ Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, BSCC or equivalent certification.
• Preferably 6 years of relevant construction working experience.
• Good knowledge of WSH regulations, risk management and workplace safety practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work at project sites located in Jurong Island.
• Possess own transport to travel to project sites and work locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Management System and safety programmes.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify hazards and ensure appropriate risk control measures are implemented.
• Review and monitor Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, WSH requirements, company policies and client requirements.
• Conduct safety briefings and WSH inductions, and promote a positive safety culture across project sites.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, identify root causes and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor WSH performance and support internal, external and regulatory audits and inspections.
• Maintain safety records, reports and statutory documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Provide WSH advice to management and site personnel and recommend improvements to safety practices.
