Job summary

DECS in Singapore seeks a Chief Resident Engineer to oversee water infrastructure plant projects, ensuring quality standards, design conformance, and effective field engineering, inspection, and testing. You will lead a multidisciplinary site team including Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, Resident Engineers, RTOs, QS, Safety Officer, and BIM Modeller to deliver coordinated project results.

Qualifications

• PE registration with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore or Chartered Engineer status.
• Reliable Civil Eng. degree recognised by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience in water infrastructure design and construction.
• Experience with large water treatment plants and major infra projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Water strategy for the project in collaboration with Project Director/Project Manager.
• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary site team to ensure coordinated delivery.
• Plan delivery by scheduling site staff to meet milestones.
• Resolve contractual issues to maintain progress and compliance.
• Lead client, contractor, authority, and stakeholder meetings on technical and progress matters.
• Coordinate design reviews between Head Office and RSS teams to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Identify and rectify site issues and defects with support from the technical team.
• Represent the Client in project matters and ensure objectives are met.
