Job summary

HSBC Life (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. seeks a Senior Vice President, Compliance Assurance to lead the team and provide assurance over RC and FC risks. The role focuses on assessing control effectiveness, risk management, and regulatory adherence while collaborating with stakeholders across the bank’s Singapore operations.

You will drive CA deliverables, maintain independence, and operate in a high‑risk environment, with a mandate to innovate and improve risk controls in a dynamic insurance business.

Qualifications

• Internal Audit and Assurance experience with regulatory compliance and/or financial crime.
• Clear understanding of regulatory/financial crime risk in global financial services.
• Ability to build positive partnerships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Inform Risk, advise and challenge Owners and Control Owners on design and operational effectiveness of controls.
• Escalate significant control deficiencies with business heads.
• Identify emerging compliance risks across the company.
• Develop relationships with external stakeholders while maintaining independence of the assurance function.
• Drive consistent management information on issues identified through CA activities.
• Ensure high-quality CA deliverables through QA at each stage of the review lifecycle.
