Job summary

SPRING VALLEY SHIPPING MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. seeks a Vessel Manager to oversee technical and operational performance of assigned vessels, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and cost control. You will lead crews, monitor PMS, and coordinate inspections worldwide.

The role demands strong leadership, problem-solving, and deep knowledge of ship operations and budgeting within the global shipping industry.

Qualifications

Marine Engineering qualification (COC MOTOR Class 1 or 2) required.
Minimum one year as Chief Engineer or at least two years as Technical Superintendent.
Ability to manage high workloads and irregular hours in global shipping.

Responsibilities

Ensure vessels comply with international and local maritime regulations.
Monitor class survey status and coordinate with stakeholders to complete surveys on time.
Oversee vessel performance and provide technical guidance, including PMS monitoring.
Conduct crew evaluations for Masters and Chief Engineers and report findings to management.
Plan and execute vessel inspections per SMS requirements.
Respond to emergencies per Emergency Response Procedures.
Prepare, review, and monitor operating expenses (OPEX) for assigned vessels.
Provide insights on budget variances.
Develop dry-docking specifications and budgets, supporting costs control.
Review and verify vessel reports and provide recommendations.
Analyze fuel, lubricating oil, cooling water, boiler water, and drinking water reports for corrective action.
