Job summary

CHINA COMMUNICATIONS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED (SINGAPORE BRANCH) is seeking a Bachelor-trained Civil Engineer to oversee utility operations, plan diversions, and maintain construction schedules for road projects in the West Area of Singapore. The role requires coordinating with authorities, reviewing project specs, and ensuring safe, compliant utility works.

You will supervise subcontractors, prepare design documents, monitor progress and budgets, and provide technical guidance to the team,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in road construction.
• Experience coordinating with relevant authorities and agencies on utility protection/diversion works.
• Strong understanding of safe work procedures for construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee utility operations, plan diversions and maintenance activities.
• Review project specifications and raise technical queries.
• Supervise utility-related works to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure timely completion and quality.
• Prepare and submit utilities design documents, drawings, and schedules.
• Monitor compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with government agencies on excavation works and reinstatement.
• Identify risks in utility operations and propose mitigations.
• Maintain project records, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Provide technical guidance on utility installations, protections and modifications.
