Markel is seeking a senior underwriting leader to drive market presence and develop the assigned line of business within agreed plan parameters. The role requires adherence to underwriting authority and delivering targeted combined loss ratio improvements.

The candidate will supervise underwriters, coach the team, and ensure data integrity and compliance with procedures across the line of business.

To have the market presence and respect in the line of business underwritten in order to develop further that line of business within agreed business plan parameters. To adhere to the underwriting authority granted. To focus on delivering the agreed combined loss ratio target.

Job Responsibilities

• Business planning~ Involvement with business planning process as required by DMD
