Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Property underwriting experience, preferably in Major Accounts, Large Corporate or Structured Program underwriting.
• Strong technical expertise in Property and Terrorism underwriting and complex programmes.
• Experience negotiating manuscript policy wordings and bespoke endorsements.
• Knowledge of global catastrophe underwriting, catastrophe modelling and accumulation management.
• Experience managing senior internal and external stakeholder relationships, including global brokers and multinational clients.
• Understanding multinational programme structures, master and local policy frameworks and cross-border considerations.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and risk assessment capabilities with decisive judgment.
• Self-motivated, curious and results-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Purpose of the Role

This is a senior technical underwriting role at the heart of Chubb Singapore's growth strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex and strategically important multinational and structured Property and Terrorism programmes within the Major Accounts Division. The role requires deep technical expertise, sound underwriting judgment, and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at senior levels. Reporting to the Head of Property, you will be responsible for the underwriting, management and profitable growth of Property and Terrorism risks across all distribution channels, with a particular focus on large corporate, multinational and structured programmes. This role is suited to an experienced underwriter who thrives in a highly autonomous environment, can confidently lead technical discussions with brokers and clients, and is keen to contribute to the strategic direction of Chubb Singapore's Property portfolio. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Portfolio Ownership & Technical Underwriting: Lead the underwriting and pricing of complex Property and Terrorism risks, including Multinational and structured programmes, balancing growth and retention objectives with portfolio profitability within delegated authority. Review and negotiate policy wordings and bespoke programme structures, ensuring clear coverage intent and appropriate risk transfer. Leverage global catastrophe modelling and risk analytics to support underwriting decisions, while maintaining contract certainty and administrative accuracy.
• Business Development & Market Engagement: Drive profitable new business growth and cross-selling opportunities by building trusted, long-term relationships with brokers, clients and market partners. Represent Chubb at market events, client stewardship meetings and industry engagements, articulating our value proposition and identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships.
• Multinational & Structured Program Management: Lead the structuring and execution of complex Multinational Programmes, ensuring seamless coordination across internal stakeholders (e.g., Risk Engineering, Claims) and Chubb's global network. Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, clients and regional colleagues, to deliver effective client solutions.
• Governance, Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements and audit standards, proactively identifying emerging risks and contributing to strategic portfolio reviews and underwriting best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• -Minimum5-10 years of Property underwriting experience, preferably within Major Accounts, Large Corporate or Structured Program underwriting in the General Insurance industry.
• -Strong technical expertise in Property and Terrorism underwriting, including experience managing complex and high-value programmes.
• -Proven ability to analyze, review and negotiate manuscript policy wordings and bespoke endorsements.
• -Demonstrated knowledge of global catastrophe underwriting principles, catastrophe modelling and accumulation management, with the ability to incorporate risk analytics into underwriting and pricing decisions.
• -Experience managing senior internal and external stakeholder relationships, including global brokers, multinational clients and senior leadership teams.
• -Sound understanding of multinational insurance programme structures, including master and local policy frameworks, fronting arrangements and cross-border regulatory considerations.
• -Excellent analytical, commercial and risk assessment capabilities, with the confidence to make and defend sound underwriting decisions within delegated authority.
• -Self-motivated, intellectually curious and results-oriented, with strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
• The following skills and experience are desirable but not compulsory:
• -Experience underwriting Property risks across multiple Asian markets, with familiarity with regional risk profiles, regulatory environments and broker networks.
• -Exposure to engineering-led underwriting and collaboration with Risk Engineering teams on large industrial, manufacturing or infrastructure accounts.
• -Working knowledge of reinsurance structures relevant to large Property programmes, including facultative, quota share and excess of loss arrangements.
• -Experience working within a global insurer's multinational programme framework and network office model.
