Job summary

Chubb Insurance Singapore Limited is seeking a Senior Underwriter to evaluate, select, and manage insurance risks across international personal lines. You will provide technical leadership, support portfolio growth, and ensure disciplined underwriting aligned with profitability targets.

Responsibilities include portfolio analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders, and maintaining deep knowledge of the insurance market to drive performance across distribution

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of underwriting experience on mass consumer products.
• Experience with cross-functional and senior leadership teams.
• Experience in Product Development and Implementation.
• Experience in portfolio analysis (P&L’s, trend mapping, performance reviews).
• Solid experience with multiple distribution channels (agents, brokers, direct group, sponsor, bancassurance).
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good understanding and working knowledge of the insurance market.

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Underwriter is responsible for evaluating, selecting, and managing insurance risks in accordance with company guidelines and profitability targets. This role provides technical leadership, supports portfolio growth, and ensures underwriting discipline across the International Personal Lines portfolio.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• At least 5-8 years of experience in underwriting on mass consumer products, preferably in Residential Insurance, Auto Insurance, Mobile Insurance, Cyber Insurance and Extended Warranty.
• Experience working with cross-functional and senior leadership teams.
• Experience in Product Development and Implementation.
• Experience in constructing portfolio analysis (P&L’s, trend mapping, performance reviews), evaluating the results, and providing recommended actions/feedback.
• Solid experience of dealing with multiple distribution channels (agents, brokers, direct group, sponsor, and bancassurance partners)
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills to work effectively with external and internal (Chubb personnel locally and regionally) stakeholders
• Good understanding and working knowledge of the insurance market
