Job summary

Nanyang Technological University’s Undergraduate Office seeks a Senior Executive/Assistant Manager to support the Lead, Student Care & Development in delivering timely and caring support to undergraduates facing academic, personal or social challenges. This is a developmental role with coaching and on-the-job learning to build capability in student care and pastoral support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, Social Work, Counselling, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience would be advantageous.
• Empathy, patience, good listening and interpersonal skills, strong follow-up and organisation, confidentiality and discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with databases, Microsoft Forms, SharePoint or similar digital tools would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support, information and regular follow-up to students, escalating concerns as needed.
• Coordinate student case follow-up, appointments, referrals and administrative support.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records, trackers, summaries and reports.
• Support academic intervention and outreach for students with academic or attendance difficulties.
• Support student wellbeing, transition and integration programmes, including logistics and feedback.
• Maintain student-care data, assist with reporting and simple analysis, and support process improvement and digitalisation.
