Job summary

Join a technically ambitious product business building infrastructure at the intersection of modern applications and blockchain technology. You’ll take ownership of critical backend systems used by real customers, working across APIs, distributed services, data pipelines, databases and on-chain infrastructure.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced engineer who has already built and operated production systems at meaningful scale. You’ll have significant autonomy, solve complex reliability and performance challenges, and work closely with product, infrastructure and protocol specialists. The environment suits someone who enjoys moving between different parts of the stack and turning difficult technical problems into reliable, production-ready systems.

The Senior Backend Engineer will own the design, delivery and operation of scalable backend infrastructure spanning conventional application services and blockchain-based systems.

You Will Need

• Extensive experience building and operating production backend systems, with strong TypeScript and experience using frameworks such as NestJS, Fastify, Express or equivalent.
• A proven track record supporting systems with significant traffic, large datasets and demanding reliability requirements.
• Deep PostgreSQL experience covering schema design, indexing, query optimisation, migrations and production operations.
• Hands-on Web3 backend experience, including blockchain integrations, indexing, transaction flows, wallets, smart contracts or decentralised protocols.
• Experience with distributed systems, observability and production operations; Go, messaging platforms, Docker and CI/CD experience would be advantageous.
