Job summary

SMRT Corporation Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced engineer to lead workflow improvements for inspection, maintenance and related activities across depots, tracks, and facilities. The role involves defect troubleshooting, reliability studies and asset management planning to ensure safe and reliable railway operations.

You will engage with contractors and stakeholders, rotate within divisions, and contribute to training and development as needed.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronics / Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution.
Railway System experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Work in SMRT depots, tracks or facilities.
Rotating or fixed shifts as required.
Support achievement of daily, short-term and long-term objectives and KPIs.
Ensure timely completion of duties and/or projects.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and other engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable operations.
Identify safety and reliability concerns and develop solutions.
Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance and quality procedures.
Identify and implement cost-effective technologies or process changes to enhance performance.
Assist in reviewing project design specifications with LTA and SMRT for safety, reliability and operability.
Assist in planning annual budget and workplans.
Undertake other tasks as directed by supervisor.
