Job summary

SMRT Corporation Ltd invites applicants for the role of Technical Officer, Inspection. The position focuses on preventive maintenance and track inspection across MRT lines, including tracks, tunnels, and peripherals, to ensure a safe and reliable journey for commuters.

Responsibilities include walking long track sections, daily inspections, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Night shifts may be required; attention to safety and adherence to work instructions is essential.

Qualifications

• NITEC / NTC 3 / Higher NITEC in the listed disciplines.
• Basic proficiency in MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint.
• A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to work permanent night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the MRT tracks, third rails, tunnels, and peripherals per work instructions.
• Walk approximately 5km of tracks during inspection.
• Carry out daily inspection and admin duties of Pway Patrolling.
• Support cross functional teams as required.
• Ensure latest work instructions and procedures are used.
• Meet KPIs and maintain productivity and quality.
• Attend daily toolbox briefings.
• Comply with safety inspections at worksites.
• Carry out tasks assigned by AE/STO/Detailer.
• Act as Person-in-Charge or Possession Master when needed.
• Work effectively in a team to ensure safety of teammates.
